The little man wants to fight with us!” “Small men oft feel a need to prove their courage with unseemly boasts,” he declared. “I doubt if he could kill a duck.” Tyrion shrugged. “Fetch the duck.” “If you insist.” The rider glanced at his companion. The brawny man unsheathed a bastard sword. “I’m Duck, you mouthy little pisspot.” Oh, gods be good. “I had a smaller duck in mind.”

AFtC: “I learned from the White Bull and Barristan the Bold,”Jaime snapped. “I learned from Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, who could have slain all five of you with his left hand while he was taking a piss with his right.”

Ned: „ ...Co je tobě vůbec do toho?“ „Nic... Ale pokud se zde náhodou budeš zdržovat ještě dnes za soumraku, s potěšením bych tě odvedl do toho nevěstince, který pro tebe tak neúspěšně hledal tvůj strážný Jory.“ Malíček se usmál. „A dokonce to ani nepovím lady Catelyn.“
Sice to není úplně hláška, ale pobavilo mě to: Tehdy se Cersei dala do pláče. Tyrion Lannister nemohl být víc ohromen, ani kdyby do místnosti vtrhl sám Aegon Dobyvatel, jedoucí na drakovi a žonglující s citronovými koláči. (Rozhovor Cersei s Tyrionem, poté co se dozvěděla, že chce Myrcellu poslat Dornům)
Tyrion: I am sorry for your loss as well, Joffrey. Joffrey: What loss? Tyrion: Your royal father? A large fierce man with a black beard; you'll recall him if you try. He was king before you.
